This was what she said to 牧师 when he visited her on wednesday afternoon. This was also when she proclaimed to him that she was ready to leave if God calls. It has been 6 days since she left us, and the feeling is still niggling in my heart. I really miss her.I really do. I am not able to make fun of her so that she would hit me, I cannot pester her anymore to make me my favourite food, I cannot hear her repeated questions because she wants to know more about you that she has missed participating in.

I dont know what words can describe the feeling that I have, and I am quite sure the same feeling extends to the rest of the family. I would guess that we are all missing her, thinking about her in our daily lives, but we know that she is off to somewhere much better than where she was in. Time will heal our heartaches ba (I know it sounds cliche) but at the meantime, I will let her love that she has left behind to overwhelm me.

I remember the night before she left, I dreamt that she left holding hands with gong gong, smiling very peacefully. Not turning back although all of us were staring at them, because i think she knows that we’ll be able to live properly while she is away. I cant help but be proud of her, I think she is one of the coolest ah ma that you can ever get. Not that she dance to rock and roll, but the things she did when she was a teen, to what she experienced when she got married, until now we can all witness how she impacted the lives of everyone around her. It will definately leave a legacy which will be remembered very dearly….*heartache*

i helped my friend to model for his fashion show last sunday. it was quite a fun but scary experience man. when i reached there, i was supposed to hang my clothes on the clothes hanger and placed my shoes too. when kokseng asked what shoe am i going to wear, i showed him my one and only black heels and HE SAID IT WAS TOO SHORT! and i ended up wearing a 4 inches high heels! it was totally scary. so i am amazed at how girls can wear 3-4 inches heels and go shopping. it was crazy. but nevertheless, i got to wear it. so before the show started, we were putting on our makeup and doing our hair. honestly, those false eyelashes were uncomfortable and the taking off part was painful. and once again,i am amazed at how girls can wear those heavy “thing” everyday.when i was done, i took a look at myself at the mirror. i could not recognise myself man! the false eyelashes made me look like the elephant in sesame street, the makeup looked dramatic. but heck man, i just 霍出去，haha, i think i was the only one who laughed the whole way. totally not professional. haha, but overall it was a good experience. but i think i wont do it anymore. the feeling is weird when there are 30plus ppl looking at you. but i learned many things:

1. heels are crazy, i doubt i will wear 4inches anymore.

2. fake eyelashes is painful and uncomfortable.

3. i realised i can’t walk in heels and stand straight and smile at one time.

4. i can’t be a model because i am 24/7 unglam. (ezra was practically sian that i can’t sit nicely and close my legs all the time)

5. removing of makeup is a tiring job. can we just wear our makeup and go to sleep and wear the same makeup the next day?

attended a special wedding

last sunday was very special!not like normal sundays when i just go to my favourit-est church, 10 other coursemates and myself visited the OLDEST church in Boston, its called the “Old South Church”. I must say its one of the most beautiful church I have seen, not that I have seen alot lah.The old building that looks absolutely like a castle, and i was invited with the serene sound of the handchimes. the choir of handchimes looked so professional, playing a super difficult piece as though it was “merry had a little lamb” (what a description huh). i tell you,the sound is really super super beautiful.As you walk in, you will be astounded by the building, the stained glass that reaches right up to the top of the high building, and the pipe organs decorating the sides of the church. through the service, the choir sang a very beautiful anthem, which proclaims the beauty of God, “The Gift of Love”. I tell you, their singing is SUPER good. although they look abit old and frilly,but their voices are totally God-given. there was a soloist who did not have a mic but was able to penetrate through to each and every one of our heart. absolutely unbelievable.

ON THE OTHER HAND.As we sat down, thinking that this will be one of the best overseas church service that i had been, yi en showed me a pamphlet where the church is looking for ministers to serve. it said “gays, lesbians,transexuals are welcomed”tiaoooo~and then when we looked into the bulletin,we saw that we are going to attend a wedding ceremony.IT WAS A LESBIAN MARRIAGE.ohmygosh.i have NEVER thought that i would be able to attend this sort of wedding ceremony lah!i couldnt figure out my feelings, whether is it feelings of excitement or is it feelings of disappointment when i got to know about it. i witnessed the whole wedding, and how they exchanged their rings and marriage vows (they said “would you take ___as your wedded wife TWICE).hahaha!but it was quite disturbing lah i must say.they made us all stand up and clap and say “I AGREE”. but lucky my whole group of christians that went with me are strong christians, we just bai chou lian there.ahahaa.wad cool singaporeans are we man.BUT ITS A BLOODY LESBIAN MARRIAGE LEHH!wah lao eh.

MY VERY OWN STREET NEAR MY SCHOOL!!on my first day!! (we had a tour guide to bring us around our neighbourhood)i didnt take alot of pictures lah.i was trying very hard to get into all the other pictures and recognizing my way around in case i need to run to class and avoid getting knocked down by ongoing cars and trains.coz yes.we can walk on their mrt tracks.hahaha!

see the yankee pier picture in san frans?when i saw the picture..the first thought that came into my mind was “this is so ang moh!!singapore got dao kee..here got yan kee!!”hhaaa..nobody laughed when i told this to them..so i hope sombody will laugh when i post it here!i know anna will!(i hope you will!!hahaha!!)

ive been on this blog everyday..but before i can finish one para..i would be super tempted to sleep!you know..fighting with jet lag after one whole day of walking around is totally killing.hahaha!

well!on my second day, i went to this children’s festival!(thats where i met the love of my life!!hahaha!!)this event is super meaningful lah!its called “LIFE IS GOOD!” its to help the children there raise funds!but i only dontated one dollar but got like alot of freebies.hahaha!played the hula hoop, gunny bag competition,tug of war…ate free ben and jerry’s ice cream (ang moh also very kiasu one lor,they also queue for the free ice cream.hahaha!),and met a whole lot of cute kids there!there were so much life in the whole place!the kids running around, the rock band concert for children singing really silly songs but all the kids dancing to the music..SO CUTEEE LAHH!!you see random parents with their child just sitting on the patch of SUPER green grass eating their super messy sausage bun, with the mayo and mustard and other funny sauces oozing out from very part of the bread..

we also went on a man-hunt!!took photos of alot of children and MAN.hahaha!i bet you have met my boyfriend matt..took picture with this chapstick guy (that’s izzy’s boyfriend)..the green tea guy (that is karryn’s) and the other green tea guy (charlane’s).hahaha!quite cute ahhh!!i will post the pictures below!!but when we came back and paraded around with the pictures,we realised that my another coursemate took picture with a group of sailors.DAMNIT.we lost.hahaha!

i took alot of ballons to decorate my rooms, but i gave it away (one out of three lah.hahaa)to a kid at the train station!hahaha!i gave it away not because the kid was cute okay..coz he looked at the balloon and could not take his eyes off it!but he’s cute also lah!!hahaha!on the train,i saw this pair of father and child who went for the event too (coz the kid had all her face painted holding the balloon) and the father was taking the opportunity to explain to her why life is good (yes.i eavesdropped).he was explaining that she had a lot of little things in life that she should not take for granted.i thought he did a fantastic job using this opportunity to remind the children how much they have!

i dont know man..this whole festival seemed like its all games and fun..but at the same time, it impacted me quite a bit!it got me thinking how much life meant to me, and how much we should appreciate it!we were thinking to organizing something like this on our own!cool eh!i have been appointed the “MOFF”-ministry of funfair.hahaha!so cool ah!hahhaa!!(this is a joke ah) but i really hope that i can do something like this and impact others like how it has impacted me and alot more of us!!

after that,we went to quincy market and the rest of the shops there..there was abercrombie and fitch (THE GUYS THERE ARE DAMN HOT) and i was walking in the shop with 2 stupid ballons hung on my bag.sian.hahaha!victoria secret..urban outfitters,gap,american eagles(where i HAVENT went till now).but all the things are like super expensive and not my style..i still prefer taiwan’s shopping.hahaha!but the rest bought alot of things though!!there was a lot of buskers along the way and it is amazing how the americans can just cheer for the buskers,and how the buskers can just openly ask for money.like literally “put your cash into my charity box”.but it was really fun!!went back to quicy market for our dinner..and i shared pasta with amanda and tania.coz we were still unfamiliar with their money, so we took some time to figure out lah..then the stupid black made fun of us coz we are chinese.basket.racism.they did not notice that they were black issit.i got one whole dictionary on YOUR jokes lor.basket.

just completed my first day in boston!its 12.48am now,i just technically passed my friday.haha.let me start telling you my journey since the PLANE RIDES.

well.just to come boston,i have 3 plane tickets.hahaa.make me look like i travelled around the world!i reached singapore airport at 3am in the morning.hahaa.it wasnt that difficult,given that i sleep around that time everyday.hahaa.so..we were just sitiing there,waiting for the counters to open at only 4am.totally doing nothing for that one hour la.den at 6 plus..we boarded the plane to hongkong (that was 5 hours) then to san francisco (that was FREAKING 12 HOURS)and then to boston which is another 5 hours. so…i was on the plane for 22 hours.and i say.it was a bad ride.i really cannot imagine the going back one where we have to take a 14 hour straight.it feels like you have slept and talked forever (but i slept most of the time lah) and when you wake up..you realised that you are only 4 hours through your 12 hour flight.well done.it was totally damn sian.but its okay!by God’s grace..we managed to get to boston safely!!woooo~~[joke that happened along the way: i was in san fransc.den like nice angmoh lady just talked to me..and she asked me if i liked california.so, i replied..”sorry!i have never been to california before!”but guess what she said! “but you ARE IN california,san franscico now”.OHMYGOSH.DAMN PAISAE LAH.make me sound super no brainer!!how on earth will i know that san frans is in california!lao niang only know jurong is in the west!AHAHA!!

went to tour around boston today.i had a good night rest, so i thought that jet lag is nothing to me!but guess wad!!at 4pm (its singapore 4am in the morning!) when we were walking…i felt my eyes super tired, both alina and myself couldnt bring ourselves to walk any faster lah.hahaha.i want to say alot of things..but im abit tired now though.hahaha.[wah lao.went for dinner today.ate a chicken wrap.it was 9 bucks.karryn ate a $10 worrth of cai fan.CRAZY LOR. the food here is crazily expensive lah.

i got this very special feeling tickling my heart..i think its the holidays PAGING MEE!

today marks my last day of year one, and when school reopens,i’ll be in boston!(gosh!this is exciting!im travelling to the other side of the world!)

oh wells,as i look at the different presentations, it warms my heart to see how much i have bonded with my class! we have inside jokes that other lecturers will never understand, and how much our presentation skills and our growth professionally (gosh.i cannot believe im using this phrase in this BLOG entry)

oh wells..looking back at the picutress, it really brings back really nice memories of all the crazy things we’ve done to keep ourselves sane through the intensive weeks,and the never ending assignments!but it is really really fun lah.

cant believe i managed to go through my year one.BYE YEAR ONE! im going to be a SENIOR soon!hahahaha!now i should start thinking how I should spend my next holiday..dont worry..its definately going to be FUN.HAHAHA.away from kids..away from assignments (maybe not.i have to do my homework before i go boston)but hack lah.im so happy that im feeling abit light headed now.hahahaha!(maybe its because of the lack of sleep)

oh wells,my internet was down yesterday..so i was slogging in the library on a SOFA.the tables were all packed with MUGGERS.oh wells.so i was stuck on the sofa with my laptop on my lap.it was relly LAP-TOP lah.my thighs almost went up in flames after SO many hours!but but..there was this indian lady that was beside me..she took like 5 investment books in her FIRST round and she was seriously reading it! but thats not the point.she had this strong jasmine smell on her that made me headache-ish.i couldnt leave coz there was a powerpoint from where i was sitting. gosh.she went on to take her second and third round of books..i feel a gush of sadness when she walk back with another stack of books lah…

anyways..talking about my internet down..the stupid singtel person was trying so solve my internet through the phone..giving very SLOW instructions as if i was retarded lah..it seems to me like she’s more retarded than me la.hahaha!den after like 1 hour of clicking around and waiting..she was like..OK!i’ll send the technician down.den i was like..”OH!what time would that be?” den she was like…”around 9?” den i thought wah…”9pm ah..abit late leh..i need to do my work by TOMORROW”…den before i could answer her…she went “is 9am on MONDAY possible?”WAHLAO!MONDAY!my assignment dont need tohand up already lah…*faints*thats why i went to the library!hahaha..and suffer the STRONG jasmine smell and burning thighs.

OHWELLS.after chionging the assignment yesterday..i went home with no internet connection..I felt super BORED lah.finish my assignments(YAY!)..den got this empty feeling..not that i miss assignments..its just that its quite weird having nothing to do at night.hahaha!im a secret workaholic!ended up cutting my nailss.reading a book..sitting in fron of the tv without my computer WITHOUT my computer leh!hahahaha!i could watch EVERY single second of bang bang tang..not missing ANY funny partss (like what ive been doing the past few days..have to keep asking my sister wad happened until she got quite pissed off..coz while she is explaining..another funny thing happen and BOTH of us missed it.)ahahhaa

alrights..this is a 539 words essay..thats around 2 pages on the microsft word page.hahaha!

on saturday, i went to batam with my fellow yf mates to visit the orphans. i was super excited as this was my first trip to the orphanage and the thought of seeing all the children further assure me that i made the right decision to go to batam. it was a short one hour trip. alesia and i were talking about how amazing God is when He created the earth and the seas. and how did He manage to collect so much water and place them together. (: the rest of the yfers were sleeping, gareth was talking to this muslim guy who sat beside him. then there was this boy boy who was standing on the chair playing. so i decided to play with him.

soon, we reached batam. sk was saying that this trip was cursed. something tragic happened to serena’s family, xin an lost her handphone. poor xin an, throughout the whole trip, she was super sian. but when we reached the orphanage, all the children came out to welcome us. so we went into the house and we sang songs, watched vcd and the yfers taught them. we ended the day with games. one of the games was musical chairs. i was dancing with a boy boy as aik hein played with his guitar. wa, he can really jump non-stop! the next day, my legs were aching, big time!

we took a boat back and all of us conked out. all of us din do much but we were super tired. but it was an enjoyable trip for me. the feeling when the kids ran around you and holding your hands just warms my heart. though they were orphans, but i am sure that they are precious in the eyes are God.

wa, i think this entry is poorly written. i can’t even phrase the sentences together! oh no!! this is the result of staying at home and not doing anything. but all of you can understand can already. bye bye!!
